Dr Sketchys a worldwide art event arrived in Hamilton a few months ago much to local artist and art lover's delight; its a great way to combine art dance, entertainment and networking.

For December 2010 Hamilton’s very first male burlesque performer Mr B. Frank will take to the stage and make his daring debut at Dr. Sketchy’s ‘Santa Baby’ Christmas session next month. ‐dominated world of burlesque and Simon Howie (Mr B. Frank’s other name) is excited to be Hamilton’s first ‘boylesque’ performer. Boylesque is a concept I've had in the back of my mind for years now, I just didn't know where to start," he says. "I met one of the performers, the lovely Miss Busty La Belle at the very first Dr Sketchy’s, and she convinced me that boylesque was indeed a growing phenomenon and I should get involved. The ideas just started flowing. After much encouragement from Grace and Michelle (Parish) and the Bombshell Burlesque girls, Mr B Frank was born!"

Simon loves everything about the vintage era and has used two of his favourite male performers as his inspiration for the act.

"

My routine is largely inspired by Frank Sinatra and Fred Astaire," he says. "Expect some smooth dance moves, a few comic elements and a whole lot of raunch, wrapping up with a very flashy Christmas themed ending. Mr B Frank is about to be revealed!"

Dr Sketchy organiser Michelle Parish says Mr B Frank’s amazing performance is just part of what’s been a great year.

"He does a fantastic Frank Sinatra," she says. "But that’s all I can tell without giving it away…t’s been a great year for burlesque in Hamilton and there’s been a great response to the Bombshell Burlesque classes and Dr Sketchy’s so far."
